Can you hear me now? Yes! Great, then throw away this headset.
Based upon a glowing CNET review that praised the sound quality and excellent technology, I was an early adopter of the SM100 Unfortunately, my experiences has been completely at…

High pitch hiss during phone conversations
High pitch noise is heard during phone conversations. Tried with two different phones – same result. Otherwise good design.

    Recommended, but with mild reservations
I had seen outstanding professional reviews published for this product for a long time, but I had been fairly content with the Plantronics 610 model I had been using.

Sound ID SM100 – Fiddly and un-ergonomic, poor volume, fragile
    Fiddly and un-ergonomic
The on off button (by holding down for 4-seconds) doubles as the button to receive a call.

Bought this after reading the early ratings here and on Cnet. First one replaced under warranty, company was just OK to work with but a pain to return and cost me shipping.

1 feature does not work on this headset

    Poor Quality
This product was touted by the local news to be one of the best headsets for a convertible. I find the sound to be tinny and thin and my callers cannot hear me well, either…

    Sound ok — earpiece cheesy
The noise canceling feature and volume control works well relative to other bluetooth ear pieces that I’ve tried. The earpiece is also quite small and lightweight.
