Google maps for Android with voice recognition
Google Maps for Android phones and Blackberries is now up to full functionality and one of the most useful apps for Andoid phones. Tp install it directly on your phone just go to Google.com/maps. This is not only for Androids but also works with Windows mobile 5 and Symbian.
A cool feature of this new version of Google maps for phones is voice recognition. After you start the map app press call and simply tell the phone what you are looking for. Obviously, the more exact you are in your querry to the Google map the better your results but even if you are a bit vague the results are surprisingly good since the search is initiated from your current position.
It seemed to take forever, but once we got the Android – everything seemed to fall in place. The apps that are now coming out are truly functional and manage to fill the void between mini PC and traditional cell-phone usage.
